Hi there. As many others i haven't used my fat PSP for a
while and i would like to know how to upgrade and to
what.
Back in my days, there were some sort of list for what
firmware you can go to depending on what firmware you
already have.
I have 3.03 OE-C on mine, and i've got some kind of 1.50
emulator or something cause i can use homebrew. I'm not
sure simply because it was so long ago.
Now, i have searched this forum but my PSP is simply to
out dated to apply to the topics you have now.
If anybody can link to a guide or simply guide me a bit
that would be great!

OK, sweet! Thanks for the advice!
I read about it and it says something about using "official
1.50" or "special/open edition/m33. I guess i belong to the
latter but how come I can still use 1.5-stuff like
homebrew?
I'm sorry for being a little slow but i haven't used the
PSP in years.

Did you install 3.03 OE-C yourself last time?

not that hard really but i didn't want to brick it so i
figured it's better to be safe then sorry you know.
But now i'm running 3.52 M33, and that was all my work :)

The reason you had to use an offical 1.5 update is because OE uses parts from 1.5 which is copyrighted by Sony and can't be distributed. But the official 1.50 can be distributed because Sony themselves distributed it.
