It is a good thing that people have actually read the sticky "hacking psp for noobs" and used the easy installer provided by RealG. However everyone then asks "I've got my custom firmware, now where do my games go?" So now I want to make it clear to everyone.

PSX games go into a new empty folder. The name if that folder can be anything as long as you can regonize it. Then after this is done, that new folder is then placed into GAME folder in your psp directory. Other emulated games such as SNES, genesis, neo, geo etc. just simply work the same way as the PSX games except they go into the GAME150 foler.

Normal psp games, that is the psp games with EBOOT.PBP which come along with the prx folder and/or the SYSDIR and USRDIR folders work this way. The folders which contain the EBOOT.PBP file should go into the GAME folder, then the SYSDIR and USDIR folders and/or the prx folder should go into the root of your XMB (That is the 1st screen you see when you open your psp memory on the computer).

But games with SYSDIR and USRDIR folders aren't the type of games you should have in your psp. Sometimes they don't even work in the psp. Put them into an ISO archieve and then put that ISO into the ISO folder. Doing this not only helps to make your memory stick with less files, but also the chances of it working in the psp is higher.

ISO or CSO games should go into the ISO folder which should be in the root of the XMB.

Also these only apply if you're in custom firmware. Please refer here to get that. Once done, in recovery mode make sure its kernal 1.50.

Any posts which ask questions that are already answered here will be locked and redirected here.

THose are RAR files, the archive is split into muliple files for some reason... Use a RAR utility to unrar the ISO..

You probably can use UR PC and burning software to make an ISO, as how to convert ISO to eboot I dunno..

I know that, the problem is what program is should use to rip as an iso. Using  the popstation GUI, I make a eboot and keys.bin.

I do not know exactly wht it means to "mount" and ISO, tho i think it means to burn to a disc? Whatever it means, it says it can. MagicISO is semi free. You can whatever you waant, but you are limited to a fiesize if you dont buy it. (or crack it. Send me a PM if you want some info). Whatever it is, I use Magic ISO to rip a .bin and .cue from the game, then popstation to make it into a playable ps1 game. takes little to no time. BTW, I got Brave Fencer: musashi along with Various other gae running this way.

BFM FTW!

Lets say AOE wants a CD to be in the drive, if I mount an image of the AOE disk it thinks the CD in in the drive, basically you copy the CD to and image file which has the same data and the computer reads the virtual drive like a real one, when you use PSP ISO you mount, since you take an ISO file that has the game data and run it as if you had the UMD in...

Hey RealG, you love linking your stuff to bestwikiever. But hey, have you thought about encouraging people to join that?
